I have been getting glow plug heater 3 codes for a while I replace the glow plugs (autozone bosh plugs) I am sure they are not the right one. Car still gets the code. It starts on the slow side not like on my ALH jetta engine where you just bump the key. Now this morning it was 20 degrees out and my wife barley bumped the key and started right up.. This maybe a waisted post, I have a feeling it is in the values. For a while I was thinking it could be my battery which is the one that came in the car, but after this morning? I don't think so. still need to get that thing load tested..

Yes, you put in wrong glow plugs! Your 04 PD TDI came with ceramic plugs. To change to steel plugs the ECU has to be flashed. This has been discussed throughly. Do a SEARCH on ceramic vs steel glow plugs!
