I just wanted to give a thumbs up to Anuthee at Diesel Land, in Golden, Colorado. I've taken my JSW in to him twice now, and I have found his service to be beyond satisfactory.
The first service was for the 40k, which he performed well, including the DSG maintenance. Second was for the 50k, again no problems and I was on my way. I find his rates and prices to be very fair and competitive.
He seems to be busy quite often, which I attribute to his top-notch service.
Even so, he managed to fit me in for scheduled maintenance during the holiday season. I choose him to work on my vehicle for these reasons and more, driving over 100 miles to his shop, with confidence in his abilities and reliability.
If you are in the Denver area, or a bit beyond, check him out. You won't be disappointed.

I second that sentiment. He is very good and takes time to explain what he is doing. He is quite busy and it is difficult to get on his schedule so plan ahead.

Triple that. Been going to him since he came to Colorado. Top notch and will explain things so you can understand.

I cannot state what an F-ING stud this kid is enough. I gave him a wad of cash and a case of beer at 4PM the last time I was in Colorado. The next morning I picked my car up with the timing belt serviced, new shocks/struts & related hardware installed, tranny fluid replaced- DONE. No added costs or bull****ting about.

Anuthee ruined me. Now in CA I'm livid when I make an appointment and it takes two full business days for a cam swap while I get nickle & dimed on petty shop supplies. Also props to Anuthee for not hiring a girlfriend to run his business like the Busch league shop I dealt with.

Proud to have this SOB's name on my timing chain cover next to the 168k belt swap note !!

I stopped in today to introduce myself to Anuthee. It definitely looks like I'll have to plan ahead for any problems that might occur as I travel through the area from time to time.

It looks like the area TDI owners have a good place to go when they need help.

Thanks for swing by Glenn. Pleasure to meet you.
Good evening, Anuthee (and fellow TDI'ers)

I am also seeking a reliable honest and capable tdi guru...and the opinion seems to be you are all 3 and more.. :)

Are you open to one more seeker dropping by one of these days? have a couple little jobs need doing and well..dealers are ...prone to charge more than necessary/....

Sounds like you are a busy man; please advise if you're still available.
Thanks,

I will agree with everyone on here about his service.

I had my 14' TDI tuned with Kerma(ecu and dsg) from him and he was able to get me in right away and made everything very simple. After talking to other non-diesel shops in Denver(Bluewater), they recommend going to him for all diesel maintenance and performance work.

See you soon for the KS3 and FMIC install.

It is 2021 and he is still on top of things. Great service! I had brought him my golf for a timing belt service. Come to find out my concern with a loss of boost was also from the cam falling due to the previous owner going cheap on oil changes. They install a COLT stage 2 along with the kerma tune for good measure. Seriously like a whole new car.. freaking sweet!

Thank you.
Anuthee!!!! 😁🖐

This is Miguel...I just tried to email you at the usual emails, and got them back as undeliverable. Then called, and then saw on Google that you closed shop! Then came on forum and saw this......when did u close? 😱😰😔

Must say I'm devastated personally, but nevertheless wish you well, of course! You were always awesome.

Must ask, are you able to refer me to someone else, please? Would hate to have to go to the stealer, er, I mean, the dealer.. .

Please advise if you know someone else...

And again, congrats and best of luck in your new endeavors

I too just discovered that Anuthee has shuttered Dieselland. :-( Anyone in the Denver Metro Area know of a VW+Diesel friendly shop? Thanks!

2005 Passat Wagon (BHW/5-spd conv, 03T). I keep in touch with the (2) ALH's I sold.
@vwfan53 i bought an ALH out Boulder back in summer of 2017. They used Indian Peaks Auto out of Boulder. I know nothing about them.

I put off doing my timing belt until after I found out DieselLand closed their doors last year. Boy do I regret it. Dieselland quoted me under $1,000 in late *2020 but I procrastinated and now they are permanently closed, damn. Called around to a few dealerships, $2300-$2700 to do the timing belt (Denver metro). Called a couple independants and they wanted 2k+. Best I found was European Performance Specialist down in Colorado Springs (Phone: (719) 475-1046). EPS just finished swapping out the timing belt, etc. Not sure how I feel about experience with this shop as a whole, will update once I get my car back. *edited

Hmmm. Brandon didn’t charge me anywhere close to $2k for a timing belt on my ALH. Like, half that maybe?
Anyway hope it works out!

Yeah, agreed, I should have called him. I went with EPS because they were straight south of where I live (Pine). I had them do fuel filter, serp, water pump, tensioners, timing and a coolant flush. Cost ended up at 1650 flat. Had an initial glow plug fault and the car wouldn't start because the timing ended up being off a tooth, which honestly really annoyed me because that's why you have the pros do it, right? Anyway, I managed to get the JSW started and limped it back down to Colorado Springs where they jumped on it and had it sorted in a couple hours. All-in-all, they seem like a genuinely good, straight forward european car repair shop. Will I go back for future service? Honestly, Yes.

Well cool!
Getting around Denver and up to FC these days is no fun. I lived in Boulder back in the mid 80s to 90s, and am now back after an 18 year hiatus, in Cheyenne now. It changed SO much,SO cfowded now. Yeeesh.

BTW I have a vagcom and the software if you ever need it….

Thanks for the offer, Judson! Might have to take you up on that... The VW dealer in Littleton wanted $100 just to swap the fuel filter, oil change not included. I only went to the dealer to get my DFP looked at under the Dieselgate warranty, but I always like to see what their costs are on services.

Agreed! Denver metro is a zoo! I've been in and out of Denver for about 20 years, we moved from SLC 3 years ago and I thought it couldn't be that much worse. I was 100% wrong. I really like the Pine Valley area we are in, but Denver is a whole different beast. Though, I do have to say I enjoy watching the sport bikes lane splitting at 100+ mph on the 470!

It’s nice and relatively quiet up here. But the rain…. The ground is so saturated with water that basements are flooding. My house is okay, thankfully.
Coolest rainiest year ever methinks.

I have a guy, who is currently visiting family in Europe, that is more than comfortable doing the TDI timing belt / pulley / water pump jobs. He's helped me x7 times. I actually donated my idparts 1z/alh timing belt tool kit to him haha... If anyone is interested, I can get you in touch with him end of September. He's located in Denver, near Evans and I-25.
