Hi guys – I’d like to take a moment to introduce me and my company – Pioneering Performance Ltd in the UK. My name is Adam and I have been working in the turbocharger industry for over 15 years now, and have quietly built several turbos to grace these pages in the past. My current project is the result of a few years work, and can be found on my webshop www.pioneering-performance.com (oops its not live for a couple more days...) We can be contacted at pioneeringperformance@gmail.com or on https://www.facebook.com/pioneeringperformanceltd/
We have designed, and cast / finish machined all proudly in the UK, an OEM looking manifold / turbine housing to bolt onto the 1.9 8v TDi heads, which will accept the GTB20-22 etc range of turbocharger CHRA.
This manifold (or turbocharger built into it) will bolt straight onto the cylinder head without fouling on any of the inlet manifolds tested to date, and will integrate perfectly with most of the OEM functionality. The OEM lower support bracket (the GT1749VB style one for the hole pointing at the block not the earlier VNT15 style for the hole parallel to the block) will rotate and bolt on providing superior support and fantastic longevity. The OEM 3 bolt downpipe mounts straight up. The OEM oil drain bolts straight up (when using an Audi origin 2260 turbo). Your original actuator and bracket can be used. The metal GT1749VB (721021) turbo inlet pipe will mount straight up with a silicone reducer. The EGR system will bolt up to the blanked off flange, which makes for an almost OEM looking install. The EGR port is not functional, but we have a pilot plotted for if you want to drill and tap for an EMP or EGT gauge. We have tried to make this as practical and as universal as possible, but still with quality and performance as the top design factors.
The castings are cast in the UK by a specialised foundry, with around 80% of their business made up by small runs of pre-production turbine housings for the likes of Garrett and Borg Warner. We chose the most temperature resistant material to ensure the life of these items, and they are finish machined here in the UK using various CNC processes.
We have a comprehensive webshop which is nearly up and running (still a bit of a work in progress in places so please bear with us), and offer for sale anything turbo related, especially performance orientated.
