I have a auto to euro 6spd conversion. I was wondering if the euro 02m axles are the same as the U.S. 02m axles?

Thanks
Not all 02m axles are the same. A lot of the US O2m axles use a bolt style hub. From what I have seen only the 24V Vr6 cars in 2003 had the same style axles.

RyanP:

Matt Whitbread did the 02M install for me a few weeks ago. He also installed the 1756 turbo you provided as part of my order. I am completely 100% satisfied with everything. I am so glad that I didn't wait for the 01M to crap-out before I did the convesion. My 03 ALH Jetta only had about 102K miles on it so I'm looking forward to a lifetime of spirited driving with this set-up.

Thanks for putting together an awesome conversion kit!!

How to updated with CV axle GKN part numbers including GKN part numbers for inner and outer boots and CV joints. Ryan can source these if you want to do it yourself and these are OEM parts. If you have your old axle, Raxles can also restore to OEM although this is not cheap but quality is excellent. Marty has no exchange for these as you must send in your old ones for rebuild. Cheapest way to go is used complete axles from Ryan and he has these in stock. How do I know? I just went through all of this. Also Sachs PD150 clutch kit part number added. All for the 02M setup.

Seller feedback, A+

Just a quick note, I ordered a PD130 intake & EGR delete pipe, got it in less than a week!!!

The Ryan 6 speed kit is still going strong for 100,000 miles on all stock ALH

Cheers

LSD - Posi?

Quick question, has anyone installed a limited slip type differential in these 02M 6 speeds? If so, what brand?

I'm having traction issues getting out of my steep driveway anytime there's snow.

Brands:

Wavetrac
Peloquin
Quaife

We fit Quaife here, no issues but like Arne says, tyres make a huge difference!

Kit for 2006 BRM MKV TDI Jetta DSG to manual?

Hey there ryanp----

Has there been any success doing this manual conversion from a DSG setup sitting in an MKV?

It seems there might be some hurdles in the MKV that make it a jump in difficulty from the MKIV...

Have you or boertje ever delved into this?

the touran gearbox is an 02S so fits exactly the same but they are weaker than the 5 speeds

02Q bolts up to 1.9L TDI BRM?

I'm sure it has been done but i dont have a full parts list or guide for the DSG to manual conversion.
Thanks....

I see the 02Q came as an option with the 2.0L TDIs, but will this 6-spd bolt right up to the MKV 1.9L BRM TDI? (assuming I swap out DSG DMF and install the flywheel/clutch assembly matching the 02Q)

How about the 02M?

Thanks!

02M and 02Q have the same bellhousing pattern so both will fit a BRM engine (or any 4cyl TDI) 02M has a few differences that make them less desirable for a Mk5 platform

Physically all the parts would bolt on.

What are those differences Ryan? For instance in my 2006 bug with BEW and dsg trans, would the 02Q with the proper clutch be the way to go? Would the 02Q even fit in the MKIV?
