would anyone know what the difference is between 3 codes of 5 speed transmissions that were fitted to 1.9 diesels sold in canada.
what i have came with a ATH transmission but from sources i get the idea that CHD & DFP were fitted to the 1.9 (aaz) engine.

will a CHD or DFP fit and perform the same as my old ATH??

thanks for any replies

According to my Bentley, the difference is date of manufacture. ATH is the early run, DFP the later one and CHD is in the middle. Gear rations and capacities are the same for all.
