my 2001 Nb has now decided that it doesn't want to talk to my MODIS, i keep getting "no communication" errors, has anyone else experienced this issue? i back probed the port and i am getting battery voltage at pin 16 good grounds between 4-5 but i have battery voltage at the k line pin 7, i unplugged the dash, the ecu and yanked all the fuses individually looking for the short but cant seem to find it, any ideas?

There are just too many to list....
Oh, SO is still using those dumb things? Wow! I thought they did away with those! Our old MT2500 'brick' had those.

yea tell me about it, i HATE those damn things, but, i got a half way decent deal on the modis which is more practical for me since the only VW i work on is my own, and it will do most of the things that i need it to, i just bought the modis, its an upgrade from my old scan tool a mac task master that was 10 years old.
