2002 Jetta TDI GLS, 242k miles, auto blue. $3700. Selling the wife’s commuter in prep for her retirement. Owned since 63k miles. Paint is good. Leather interior is good/fair. Everything works (AC, windows, door locks, heat, fans, sunroof). Had tranny rebuilt 4 years ago locally at 174k miles. Unitronic Stage 1 done at the same time for better fuel economy. Consistent 38-41 mpg in mixed driving. Tires are decent (50%), alloy wheels. New brakes, starter, catalytic converter, and valve cover within the last 2 years. Timing belt done at 182k miles. The bads: small 2” tear in driver seat, middle armrest falls, glove box handle broke but can still be open/shut, and headliner has started to drop. Quite firm on the price. Driving it to work is just saving me money in fuel during my commutes.

TLC: 2001 Jetta TDI, 214k miles, 5 speed, black. $1500. My commuter for 3 years until this last summer. Driving on the beltline and the front end did a nose dive. At minimum, bent valve on #4 cylinder. Sad, as this got 48-49 mpgs. Paint is good. Everything worked well (AC, power windows/door locks, heat, fans). Cloth interior is in good/great condition. Very firm cushions. Tan cloth. Most recent new parts: valve cover and starter. The bads: motor at least has a bent valve (confirmed by taking valve cover off; space between lifter and cam lobe). Have not checked cylinder. Rock bottom price is listed. If no one wants it at that price, I’ll part it out. Would rather her go back on the road though. Headliner being held up with some Dorman headliner screws. Actually doesn't look too bad. plastic on window/lock controls on driver side is a bit ugly. New parts in last year: starter and valve cover.

Kept up with maintenance when they needed it. Other parts have been replaced, just further back in time (voltage regulator, injection pump gasket). Rotella T6 every 5-7k miles.
