Walked away from this deal...

I am searching for a replacement for my '09 JSW 6M that I am turning in on 12/6. I drove 2-1/2 hours today to look at a '12 JSW 6M for $12k. The price was good, but I was turned off by the high-pressure sales job.

I took the car for a test drive, stopped in a parking lot, hooked up VCDS and ran a scan. I am posting the results below.

The scan is good. ABS looks like it was related to tire pressure. radio always shows up if you don't have Sirius XM.

You did not buy it because the salesman pissed you off? Interesting approach. I would never buy another car, house again because all salesman piss me off.... ha ha. High pressure is what? Good car, good price you thought, tell them to shut up and let you look it over. Of course a pre-purchase is not a bad idea. I would do that. If they balk at that, then I would be likely to walk away.

So why exactly did you bother to post a scan with no problems to a car that you did not own and make who the seller is some mysterious secret? None of your post makes any sense. It might have been more proactive to bend the seller over and done a scan on him and posted that.

It just kills me that some people think VCDS is sort of miracle tool when they don't understand it's purpose in automotive diagnosis.

My question is why do you think that this forum has to be "The Jerry Springer Show?" I'm not trying to harm or help the dealer. I posted this in case someone else might be in the market for a 2012 JSW 6MT. I did not post the name of the dealership because I am not a shill for them, nor am I trying get some weird sort of revenge. Quite frankly, I bet if you took the time to copy and paste the VIN into google, it would probably bring up the car's listing on the dealer's website.

Just because I'm not buying this car doesn't mean that I'm implying that there is anything wrong with it or that dealer is trying to pull some underhanded shenanigans.

I scanned the car for my own piece of mind. Later, I decided not to purchase said car and decided that rather than just delete the scan, I would post it here. In that way, I might just be able to "pay it forward" to a fellow tdiclub member who is car shopping for a similar vehicle and doesn't have access to VCDS.

Guess no good deed goes unpunished!!!

P.S. - Diagnostic Tools are useful, even with the diagnosis is "good health"

Just bought one of these (emissions fix made) for the same price and mileage, but without the sunroof. If you really want it, go back and get it. I have no regrets. Well now you are making want a sunroof, but other than that, no regrets.
