Maybe an AAZ...interestingly, I have one of those in one of my many boxes of bits....came with a vnt 20 attached to it. As I recall it was an early vw diesel.

Wow, think you just about nailed it but mine did not seem to need an adapter flange... my flange seems like 1pc with the holes per your attached image.

I see a spot where a TC could be mounted underneath before the turbo as well. I'm guessing that TC placement would be better than after the turbo too.

I’m just throwing this one out there but maybe it’s an older 8v 2.0 gas aftermarket turbo manifold.
I'm not too sure about interchangeability on those two motors but it is a casting with Germany embossed. I'm guessing aftermarket manifolds are fabricated vs cast but could be wrong.

Hi,
it seems like original VW.
I can not read all numbers but it starts with 05(8 or0)129 68..
Perhaps you can verify it.
Or I need a picture with another angle...

If I look longer on the picture it could be 058 129 68 .. A or 068 129 68 .. A

The other one are from Golf2 TD, should be 068 129 591 G

Hey guys, gotta bring this one up again. I bought a BRM intake manifold and the darn thing wont fit because of how close the turbo is. I'd really like to run that unit as it is much nicer than factory ALH. Does anyone know of a manufacturer for an exhaust manifold spacer? I figure I need about 13mm

Well, figured out it would be best to just get a spacer for the turbo itself... T25 flange spacers are pretty cheap.
