Holy Cow.

Our 2nd mk7 key went missing for about a day. It's my wife's key, and I think I was using it to jockey some cars around in the garage earlier this weekend...

Anyways, it had been missing for about 24-48hrs...

She just found it in our HE washer tonight after doing a couple loads of laundry. I removed the 2025 battery and could see a couple drops of water inside. I decide to try to dissasembly it further but I don't have a torx bit smaller than T8

I decide to give it a quick 3-5 second douche with electronics cleaner, hoping it will displace any water still in the fob, then I blow dry it with compressed air in the garage...

Put a new 2025 battery in, and everything still works!!

CR2032 batteries will also fit without issue for a minuscule amount of increased battery life.

My keys have the 2032 battery in there, I just found the 2025 sitting on top of the pile in our battery box, so stuck that in.....

She uses her keys maybe 1/5th as much as me... Her daily is a q7TDI
