rear upper door chrome trim missing

Hello All,
I've been enjoying my CPO passat sel tdi for the past couple months now. Its been a LONG time since my last VW or tdi.
A couple days ago I came home and the upper chrome trim was missing. No idea if it fell off or if it was vandalism. I rarely park anywhere sketchy so no idea how it could have happened.
If it just fell off any idea if it would be covered under the CPO warranty? Looks like the P/N is 561839644A for ~ $80 or so.
Concern is that if it fell off so easily if I try to stick a new one on it might just fall off again.

Highly unlikely that a piece of trim is covered. Thousands of Passats in service.

Does the CPO warranty have bumper to bumper coverage? If so, and if you're still within the B to B mileage or time limit, ask.

Thanks for the feedback. The CPO warranty is not the most clear about coverage but it doesn't hurt to ask. Even if I have to pay the $50 deductible its still cheaper than trying to fix myself and risking the trim falling off again.
