Hello

Some days ago my 2009 jetta 2.0 start developing overheating when under acceleration, I'd replace sending units, radiator, thermostat, water pump, Heather core...any of this replacements solve the problem.

I'd check EGR and found this valve stuck open...cleaned it with carbu_clean spray and for my surprise OVERHEATING PROBLEM WAS SOLVED.

ONLY additional option was headgasketh...I'm glad was not necessary to replace it.

Best regards!!!

Glad your problem has been solved.
Seems like if your car had an EGR valve stuck open you would have had trouble accelerating.
