A celebration of my Jetta's 16th birthday and having just passed the 500,000 km mark, I collected together all the pictures I could find of the places that it has been. I then realized this is probably the world's "most travelled" Jetta? (Or does someone have a counter example?)
Unlike many people here, I never set out to keep this car for so long. But there has just never been a reason to replace it. If it were to get crushed by a truck or something I really don't know what I would replace it with. It is fully depreciated, just the right size for my needs, uses minimal amounts of fuel, costs very little to maintain and continues to be a reliable daily driver - what more could one want from a car?!
