Been searching the internet for a couple days on DSG information. I have a 2014 Jetta TDI wagon with a DSG. Car starts fine but will not go into gear.

Using my scanner there is a error that comes up lost communication with transmission will update thread with code later.

The dash shows a Park "P" and a wrench icon flashing.

What happened was someone.. left the windows down in the rain car had some water in it. Everything is dried now.

Also having issues with seat heaters and power recline on seats.

What I have done:

Checked all fuses tested 12+ volts on each. Battery fuse box and left side of steering wheel by door.

Cleaned all connectors under seats and on shifter.

Manually pushed shifter yellow tab which allowed me to move gear selector back and forth still nothing.

Will be purchasing a subscription to a manual online for a day soon...

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated......

I have a VAG COM setup, have not used it for 6 years. I will pull it out and get a laptop and try to scan the car. Any suggestions on testing methods or direction in regards to parameters to check using the VAG COM???

Really appreciate your insight....any clue on the mechatronics unit costs or ways to test it?

I know it's been quite a while, but I am having an identical issue after water getting into the car. What was the fix??
