i just put my turbo back on my 210,xxx mile jetta. i had it off due to sticky vnt mechanism. i replaced the oil feed and drain lines while i was in there. i was reassembling the turbo and checked the vnt to make sure it was moving freely (which it was) but it would not move back far enough to touch the adjustable stop. there was a good 1/4 inch gap between the adjustable stop and the vnt mechanism. i quit for the night and forgot about it and put the turbo back on the car the next day. now im over boosting (35psi stock vnt15) and going into limp mode and its really sluggish. any ideas???

thanks!

The actuator is probably your issue. Was there ANY binding on the arm on the turbo though?

well i took the turbo off for the second time now. thanks jasonTDI but the problem was with the ring that moves all the veins. i had it aligned correctly but it was upside down. lol. flipped it back and put it back together and now it runs like a champ!!!
