My Jetta started with the strange issue yesterday. I inserted the key, after the first click (for the radio) and the second click (for the GP relay) and the car immediately started. As soon as I reach the second click (without going any further) the car starts.

This might be a big issue when the car is cold, it does NOT give time for GP to heat up. This happened when the car is warm after I drove 45 miles from work, then at a stop for a errand. I am going to hookup VCDS today to see if it throws any code. Anyone else have come across this issue?

I just scanned with VCDS, and got errors from Central Electronics and Steering Wheel areas. Thanks in advance for your input.

You have a faulty ignition switch (electrical portion). Super easy to replace, may take about 20 minutes and the part isn't too pricey either.

Perreault17, is there a DIY or some pictures? I can get the part from local dealer, they wanted $165 to install.
