What does the I in TDI stand for ? TDI = Turbo Diesel Injection or is the I stand for intercooled.
The reason i ask is because i came across this site http://www.vwpartscentral.com/vwparts/jsp/index.jsp and when you choose 1997 ... they list a Jetta III TDI Diesel 96-99 and a Jetta TD (Canada) 93-99.
My car I assume being the latter of the two because it was purchased originally in canada, does this mean I only have the turbo and the diesel ... without the injection?
I know it must be injected ... so maybe the I stands for intercooled, because it doesn't look like i've got an intercooler, unless i just don't know what i'm looking at.
whats the deal
