Earlier in thread are some specs off a gtb1752 renault. And t5 vw seem to be comp inducer 38.6mm exducer 52mm and turbine inducer 43mm and exducer 39.5mm.
Should be similar?
gtb1752v from renault is different, can be water-cooled, has 5-10 blades compressor side:
Ind. = 36.77mm
Ex. = 52.00mm

Yup, the tips are only around 49mm, unless you're masuring to some imaginary line where the base connects to the line?

I know of someone who just purchased a GTC1549VZ, P/N 03L 145 721B, fitted into the CR170. I believe this will be the hot turbo for people who want a moderate performance upgrade -- supports max PR=3.4 and 0.18 kg/sec (24 lb/min) -- without sacrificing one-iota of spool-up response from stock, if not even better. Will keep updated.
One of these landed on my doorstep ;)

It does not bolt to a BHW manifold, the bolt pattern is different and rotated differently. The outlet flange is also different. I don't intend to install it on one so I'm not worried about that.

I'm going to ride in my bmw 2268mfs with much less pressure catch revolutions need.I've noticed that larger turbine is heavier and therefore will lag considerably

i did not know that there was 2 diff. manufatures. I have been offered a skoda octavia 2010, with the 1.6tdi 105bhp motor. the owner have had the car to the workshop and they will change the turbo and the dpf at his cost, but i have the possibilty to buy the car at a fair price, so just thinking i a small upgrade on the turbo side does not hurt.. (and get the car remapped) Leading tuner here in denmark is making 140-145bhp and 310-320nm with stock turbo, but a small turbo upgrade and the same power will keep the temp and stress on the turbo on the low side.

ah, I tought you said 'new' 1,6 tdi like in golf 7...

bosch mahle is actually a co-venture that makes turbos there days.

I think on the old 1.6 tdi the 2.0 tdi turbo is almost pnp. only the actuator is the tricky part as I think the 2.0 tdi turbo uses a push type actuator and the linearisation of the feedback sensor is different on the conti ecu on the 1.6 tdi..

I think davy from dvx performance did a few of these. so maybe drop him a line and see what can be done

:D pretty light for that size of turbo. I would say more like 5kg.

No Jim, it has a different bolt pattern. but with an adapter plate, it probably would. Right now my AFN manifold is being used for a mock up, I have both this turbo and the manifold and can get a picture for you when I have time.

I made a flange for the inlet of the BV for someone, I'll print out a scale drawing of that and see how it compares. From what I remember one bolt lined up perfectly.

I've got a GTC1549 on My Ibiza CR (oval port) i have 205hp and 360lbs @ 2200rpm so it is awsome in traffic! Still not running full boost or fuelling, might be 10hp in it max.

I have one with a 52mm High PR comp wheel to try if we feel the need.
