Whoops I didn't think that through. I was so excited to be able to park next to the home made wooden bed truck! Now I wish I would have used the picture I took on the way to the store.Video Village. What kind videos do they have there?

I had a lot of fun driving around and getting all these pictures. And then when I got home I didn't like half of them so I went and did them all over again. Then the biggest challenge, geting an almost 3-year old to cooperate and sit on thatrocking horse in the cold when she couldn't even rock it. Thanks for the fun and all the great submissions to choose from.

I was driving through the next to the last leg of my trip when the submission time expired. I really hoped to get a couple more pictures in but as luck would have it that didn't pan out. Saw a couple odd road names, too late though. The over the top decorations, well, when we saw them I didn't have the camera, when I did the lights were out. Thats just the way the ball bounces.
But hey, I should get a grand prize for driving 5300 miles, round trip, just to get a picture of a mailbox

Here are a couple shots from the trip, just because I want to share.
The first is one I took from the upper level of the parking structure at the Gateway Arch. With the cloudy, drab day in St. Louis is almost looks like a black and white shot (except for the red tail light lens).
The second is while fueling at a truck stop. Too bad my daughter can't figure out how to run my point and shoot camera. The image looked OK on the camera screen but not too good on the computer. I have to admit I felt a bit small between a couple semi trucks.
Edit: Forgot to add that these were possible candidates for the challenges I wished I won.

So the next big challenge will be in April-ish at 1000? Something Spring-like, maybe. I likes the superlative theme; it can easily be adapted to the season.
