Ok everyone,
My Girlfriends 2002 TDI Beatle equipped with a 01M automatic has been tossing a fault code 1192-410 indicatinf intermittant torque converter failure. The 6.70 version of VAG-COM indicates this failure under autoscan; the 7.04 version does not. In both cases Ross-Tech supplied cables were used. The 7.04 version seems to not communicate with the transmission in autoscan-it fails all three attempts. When scanning the 02 module the indicator on the dongle flashes green/red indefinately. The code will show up under the fault codes group however. The scan appears to be in an infinate loop with no way out. The only way tostop this is to kill the VAG COM program or unplug the cable.
The cable in quetion scans a 2000 Jetta GLX like a champ and behaves normally. Has anyone seen this before? Is this a sign of TCM failure resulting in fault code generation? The transmission does not appear to be malfunctioning (lurching, shifting delayed, premature etc).
Any ideas?
Mark
