Would the same servicing method and parts/tools be used to do a DSG servicing on a MK6 2010 Golf TDI Wagon as shown here?:

I just want to make sue it is the same method before I go out and spend the money on the VAS6262 tool that is apparently $150 now.

On that note are there any other suggestions on where to buy the special (and overly expensive) VAS6262 tool? I’m up in Ontario, Canada if that helps.

Thanks all.

I have not done the DSG service but I can't imagine anything being different from that thread.

If you haven't already, read further down the linked thread you'll find that you can make your own VAS6262 tool by purchasing the individual parts from your local WalMart/Lowes/HomeDepot/Autozone stores for much cheaper than $150.00. Here is also a page that shows you how to make your own VAS 6262 tool.

As an alternate to buying or making the tool, you can also rent it here for $35.00 a week and $155.00 deposit but it requires buying the DSG fluid change kit from them.

It's the same procedure. It cost me around $10 to make the tool myself.
