Hey, this is going to be a pretty stupid post; I'm a newbie.

I recently have been hearing a hissing noise when I accelerate at lower gears, and then it usually stops when I get into 5th gear. I popped my hood open and tried to search for any damaged or de-attached tubes. I found a whole bunch of thin tubes without any rubber casing cracked all the way down their length.

Check out the photo, all of the tubes that are just hard plastic are cracked.

What are these, and how can I fix them? I've tried looking at other threads to try and figure out what they are, but I don't see anyone else with bare tubes like mine.

Anyone's help is very much appreciated!

P.S. I am cleaning that dust right now.

I'm old and blind, and I swear I don't see a problem in the picture.

Check carefully the line from the vacuum pump at the end of the head to the brake booster. Common cracking area that leaks vacuum.

EDIT: Ahhhh, you're talking about the wire loom. Yup, normal.
