emissions system

After searching and coming up rather empty handed, I figured I'd start a thread. On the newer tdi's they implement a def system to aid in reducing the amount of egr usage correct? If that's the case, could that be retrofitted onto the 09's somehow? Thanks in advance.

why would you want to retrofit a def system? I can't see why it would be worth the cost.

The passats are using VW's CR version 2, and are getting slight better MPGs. The engine code is different, as well as the emissions system. I think it'd take quite a bit to get the two systems to blend.

with the time and cost, a DPF delete would be the best investment, maybe not so for the environment though.
