Hey all! I'm still fighting this code:
01598 - Drive Battery Voltage
000 - -
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 01100000
Fault Priority: 2
Fault Frequency: 157
Reset counter: 17
Mileage: 178022 km
Time Indication: 0
Freeze Frame:
ON
Voltage: 13.35 V
ON
ON
OFF
OFF
ON
It jumps the RPM to 1,050 or so and runs the fans. The transmission acts much different when the idle is bumped up as well. It slips the clutches a lot more. I hate it.
I'm trying to track it down. Without testing voltage drops I replaced the alternator with a Bosch reman as it was original with 300k. The issue remains.
I'm getting .18-.20V drop between the alternator stud and battery positive cable. I'm getting .08V of it on the alternator to fuse box cable and .1V of it on the battery positive cable.
Are these drops within spec or is at least one of them to blame for my voltage dropping below limits triggering this annoying code?
