Polar FIS+
Has anyone installed one of these in a 2015 GSW. They are coming out with firmware to support the mew MQB platform display but of course mine is pre MQB.

KERMA April 12th, 2018 08:59

yes I have the PF05 beta installed but it's not ready for prime time yet. Still some things to work in the firmware out before it is retail ready.

So with the new firmware it will be compatible with both the pre and post MQB platforms?

Originally I thought that MQB had to do with the new digital display on the newer VWs... now I know it does not. I have corrected my thinking.

States its live and ready to go, is it just the firmware for the EA288 diesel that needs updating or is it for all engine codes?

PB_NB April 13th, 2018 09:09

These units look really interesting. I would consider one for the 07 GTI if I could find one that fits!

740GLE April 16th, 2018 04:40

'07 GTI is MK5 right? They have one that should work.

Happy to announce testing is completed. Units will be shipping shortly!

great news!

For folks on the East Coast, German Diesel Motorwerks in Mount Pleasant Mills, PA, is an authorized AutoPolar dealer. Two hour road trip for me and they'll help with the install.

740GLE June 18th, 2018 11:20

There are some reports of it messing with the MFI

Any in car videos? mk5/Mk6 is wordly different than Mk7 so some first hand videos should do wonders for sales.

You may have to keep waiting, you do realize that's what live data does when reving the car right? cruising at highway speeds things should be pretty steady.

I think you can just one data point displayed per scrolling screen right? My guess is that kerma just wanted to show all the points that could be displayed

Also you can switch between screens if you get distracted easily.
