Abgas means exhaust (literally). However, it refers to emissions.
Werkstatt is a garage/dealership.

Time to hook up VAG COM!

You have a glow plug circuit or coolant temp sensor code. betcha.

(I have both of these codes, and don't know which one is causing this.) I'm guessing the coolant temp one, since the ECU won't know how to adjust the timing.

anywho. hook up VAG-COM!

My cluster/car speaks a lot of german
. I should teach it english. Considering it lives in the USA
. (New Yark) I think i'll have to give it a good going over with the vag-com
.
Thanks, i'll get my vag-com hooked up.

I've have been seeing a number of coolent sensors problems talked about on the forums. Hopefully thats the extent of it.

Hi:
Hooked up VAG-COM
this is the code:
17057 Cylinder 3 Glow plug
electrical fault
P0673-35-10 intermittent

Do I have to replace the glow plugs or the harness?
I sprayed the contacts with contact cleaner, but fault still returns.

Thanks,
Alan

check glow plug #3 resistance to ground. If it is 1.5 ohms or lower then it is OK, if it is higher, then replace it.

On some cars the cylinders are counted backwards by the ECU...

So check the resistance of # 2 also... (and clean the contact there while you're at it...)
