I am replacing my stock kp39 with a 17/22 this week. I have been seeing IAT's above 150F when running it hard for a few minutes with cool canadian ambient air. I am guessing its because the KP39 is on its way out. It has a sloppy actuator linkage and leaks oil like the exxon valdez not to mention at least 450,000km+ on it.
I am planning to drop in the 17/22 with the same tune (1.5 malone) If my logic is correct this turbo should run a lot cooler at the same psi?
I am going to run it on the stage 1.5 tune until I can do some supporting upgrades.
