I’ve had an issue with water in the cab I believe it’s the sunroof leaking, is it possible to completely seal it off

Have a look at your sunroof drains. They are clear tubes that run down the A pillar into a black rubber holder. I had to silicone my tubes into the black rubber drains. Now no more water leakage. Also cut the pinch valve off the drains in the door jamb.

Sometimes water can enter at the windshield plenum, so check that area also.

A temp fix is to use a good quality duct tape around the sunroof. Very helpful it is going to be a rainy season and you can't get it taken care of right away. I've done that on a Jetta until I could fix it (had to drop the headliner) and have it right now on my Touareg until I can fix it as well. The sticky residue left behind is almost not worth trying to clean, it will wash off the paint over a couple months, but can discolor the sunroof seal for longer.
