Wow. So darn complicated to pair my Android phone to my 2012 Passat SEL.
I purchased this car two weeks ago and I absolutely love this car. First diesel I’ve ever owned and I’m 66! Getting 37MPG combined hwy/city driving.

Anyways, I paired my phone via Bluetooth and my phone says paired to VW. But the car doesn’t recognize my phone or says no phone available. I’m the second owner and I wonder if previous owner phones are still in there taking space? I followed the masters degree required owners manual but to no avail.

HELP PLEASE

Thanks all.

I don't know about the 2012, but pairing to our 2013 was an excercise in triviality . . . took 10 seconds tops. 2013 Passat SEL, RNS510 . . .

Simply went into the MFD and initiated the pairing . . .

Mine was pretty easy too. Well it still disconnects very often but once it's connected it's good .
You may want to reset to factory settings so it might delete previous ones?
Sometimes does not connect right away, just keep your Bluetooth on when you are in the car,it might connect anytime :D
