Hey guys, anybody have any info on removing the head on a 98 Jetta TDI? I found the mk4 ALH head removal guide but it is pretty different compared to the AHU. I have the TB and camshaft out, I just need to remove the head bolts and I can't find what type of bit they need, I have heard mentions of a triple square 10mm but I want to make sure before I buy a $30 bit.

If you are leaving the intake on the head, you will need a triple square shorter than the MetalNerd one. I bought mine from Carquest, they are $16 for a 4 pack (6,8,10,12mm) and are lifetime guaranteed. That being said, I have returned the 8mm (fits CV bolts) twice due to the threads deforming, so I bought a spare.
